These Red Cherry Shrimp are tank raised and home-bred from one of my personal aquariums! Shades, color and size will vary shrimp to shrimp! No set grade, you will get a mixture (Pictures are shown as reference but keep in mind that you won't necessarily get shrimp that have the same exact shade of red).
I send primarily young shrimp ranging from .25 inch to 1 inch in size. Younger shrimp have a greater tolerance for fluctuations in water chemistry and grow very quickly, so they handle the packaging and shipping much better than fully grown shrimp. * Please note that fry do sneak in many of the orders, but I DO NOT count them as part of your order!* Red Cherry Shrimp are extremely hardy and can thrive in a wide range of water chemistry. You will receive both males and females, some of the females may already be carrying eggs!
They prefer clean water with a ph of 6.5-8.0, and a rough temperature of 57-86 degrees, most comfortable at a moderate room temperature of about 72 degrees. They are omnivores and typically live 1-2 years under ideal conditions.
In the rare occurrence there is a shrimp DOA, I always send more with your order to make up for small loses. For example, a pack of 25 shrimp may contain anywhere from 26-32 shrimp. Shipping is FREE to the US only via 1-3 day priority mail. I am sadly unable to ship to Hawaii or Alaska.
