    Description

    Attractive
Dual Mode Piezo Alarm Security Alarm
Box Opened to Pre-Test Alarm before Shipping
One of my customers tells me this
alarm is compatible with the Titan XT
    and the Honeywell Security Alarms
when connected to the HW1 terminals.
However, since this is hearsay, you
    need to verify that
    your
    HW1 terminals
output a 6 to 12 Volt DC Voltage.
    Dual Mode
6 Volt DC Piezo Siren, or 12V DC
    2 Operating Modes
    Continuous and Yelping Modes
For Yelping Mode, Read "Advisory" Below
Modes Can Be Used Simulatneously (For Instance, Mode 1 for Front Door, Mode 2 for back Door)
    -
    Low Current Drain (55ma @ 6VDC)
    Current Drain @ 12VDC: 110ma
    -
    Easy Wiring with Screw Connections
    4 Mounting Screws Included
    4 Drywall Anchors Included
    Dimensions: 12cm x 8.3cm x 2.3cm
    -
Internal Cover Activated Micro Switch with Screw Terminals
(Normally Open Contacts, Can be wired in series with the Siren so it can be disabled when Siren's Cover is Opened)
If planning to use the Yelping Mode,
please make sure you read the "Advisory"
below as it's operation is conditional !!!
    Both Operating Modes can simultaneously
be wired to different external sensor
switches so the Siren produces a unique
sound for each sensor switch. For
instance, Front Door and Back Door Sensors
Switches can cause the siren to produce
unique sounds, one yelping and the other
    continuous (when appropriately wired).
Thus eliminating the need to have separate
    sirens for monitoring two different
    locations!
    (( PLEASE NOTE ))
This is just the Siren. You still need an
external sensor switch and a 6V DC Power
Source connected to it to complete the
circuit. Or, you need a "6V DC" Alarm
Output on an existing security system for
    connection to it.
If purchasing this siren, Please Print
This Ad, or Paste it into Notepad and save
it as a text file. It Contains Hook-Up
Information that will be helpful to you
    when you install the siren!
    Wiring:
    Continuous Mode Wiring:
Connect 6V DC to Gnd and #1 Terminal
    Yelping Mode Wiring:
Connect 6V DC to Gnd and #2 Terminal
Siren Continuous Mode seems to work fine
on voltages up to a maximum of 12V DC
    ADVISORY:
With a switch closure across the Gnd and
#2 terminals and the alarm being powered
by a 6V DC source, the Siren operates in
the "Yelping" mode. If more than 6V DC is
used to power the alarm, the above switch
closure will Operate the Siren in Continuous
Mode producing the same sound as a Switch
Closure across the Gnd and #1 Terminals.
The box does not state the alarm's "db"
rating. I would estimate the "db" rating
to be about 95 db, give or take about 5
db. Though not as loud as some alarms I
sell, the "Yelping" mode produces a very
unique distinctive sound that helps extend
it's range and coverage area beyond that
    of similar alarms.
    Attention:
    The Box Reads: 15 Watt
I have seen time and time again that the
claims by Chinese manufacturer's are false
and I have learned not to trust them. So,
I measured the current drawn by this
device at both 6V DC and 12V DC operation.
As I suspected, the manufacturer's claim
that this is a 15W device was false. My
current measurement of 110ma current draw
when operated at 12V DC only works out to
    1.32 Watts.
    This 9-Piece Lot Includes:
    1 Alarm as shown
    4 Mounting Screws
    4 Drywall Anchors
