Description
For sale on a 'Buy it Now', is a set of four (4) adapters that will let you simply and quickly mount your set of go kart tires and wheels and go kart wheel hubs to your Radio Flyer wagon. You take the old wheels off of the wagon, slide the adapter over the wagon axle, tighten down the set screws, slide your wheel hub on and tighten the lock nut that is provided. You're done! It will likely take you longer to get the old wheels off than it will to put the new ones on.Please note that the wheel and tire and wheel hub pictured are not included in the 'Buy it Now' price listed. They are pictured for reference only.
The adapters are machined out of a piece of round stock so there is no welding on them. The adapters have a 1/2" or a .502" hole in them. Most Radio Flyer wagons we've met have 1/2" diameter axles. Two (2) set screws that are 120 degrees apart hold the adapter to the axle. We have heard of some Chinese wagons that have 7/16" axles so check your dimension before ordering. The axle on our adapter is 5/8" O.D. that works great with most standard American go kart front wheel hubs. An American front wheel hub will have two 5/8" I.D. bearings in them (we also sell these on E-Bay, find our E-Bay store gokartracingdotcom to check out our wheel hubs). Most American go kart front wheel hubs are also 1.75" wide. The supplied lock nut will draw down on the hub to keep it in place. The nut is .400" thick, and the total length of the adapter axle is 2.200". We supply this info in case you have non standard hubs.
We also always have auctions on E-Bay for the go kart tire and wheel package you'll need to sex up your Radio Flyer wagon. Again just look for our E-Bay store gokartracingdotcom or our user name oak878. Or check out our cross promoted items for the set of wheels and tires you need for your new wheeled creation.
