Incredibly rare one of a kind giant original photo album featuring nearly 200 color 5x3.5 photos documenting the The Masquers Club “Bacon Fry” (a version of the famed Friar's Club Roast) for famed Hollywood based Associated Press journalist, columnist and well known character actor James Bacon (1914-2010). Primarily known as for his 35 years as an AP reporter covering Hollywood, Bacon also appeared in dozens of movies and TV shows from the 1950s to the 1980s. He was also a well know columnist and celebrity biographer. The all star fry took place at The Sportsman's Lodge on September 28, 1984. This one of a kind photo album was presented to Tony Hawes by the Masquers Club (the fabled Actors Only Hollywood Social Club) for his efforts in arranging the Bacon Fry. Each giant Page inthe 30+ page Photo album measures 17x12, was assembled by hand and features the original invitation to the event, newspaper clippings, Bacon biography, and 26 pages with approximately 200 individual (and removeable) ORIGINAL 5x3.5 color photos chronicling the event featuring candid photos of such top stars as Ann Jillian, Jane Withers, Sugar Ray Robinson, Mike Mazurki, Milton Berle, Danny Thomas, Robert Stack, Angie Dickinson, Lee Meriwether, Gary Owens, Morey Amsterdam, Slappy White, Jackie Vernon, Chuck McCann, Jock Mahoney, Cesar Romero and many many more. Multiple photos are mounted on individual photo album pages. All photos are in NEAR MINT condition and can be individually removed without any damage of any kind to the photos. Scrapbook itself and all other pages are also in NM condition.
