    Description

Does your tank need a professional clean-up crew with a dash of color?
Home bred in the USA, these hardy freshwater shrimp are full-time janitors that never take time off.
The real MVP of the aquarium, these tireless crustaceans zap algae, detritus, and uneaten food to keep your aquarium looking like a piece of art.
Easy to care for and fun to breed, the orange sunkist shrimp is one of the most popular additions to a community tank or planted aquarium.
Native to the rivers of Taiwan, you can expect hours of relaxing entertainment watching your new shrimp happy-dancing their way across your substrate in search of the next surface to clean.

    NOTES:
Most of the shrimp you receive will be juveniles approximately 20-40 days old that are about 1/4th the size of a fully grown adult (~0.25") and will continue to get more color like the pictured shrimp as their exoskeleton grows and thickens (two to four weeks after you receive them.) This auction is for related and visually similar shrimp from the colony, not the exact shrimp pictured. Variation is expected. Females are typically more opaque than males. Cherry shrimp have a lifespan of 1-2 years.
It's common for shrimp to temporarily lose their color as a stress response to shipping and environment and can sometimes a
appear blueish or clear. This is a normal stress response in shrimp and their color will return after being acclimated to your tank, usually within two to three days.
The product listing photo was taken with a 10x macro lens to capture details. Most cherry shrimp reach a maximum size of about 1-1.5 inches. Be mindful of your current tank stock and consider predatory livestock that may feed on small shrimp.
