  • Condition: Nice Unique Authentic Double Sided Mortar measuring 10" x 8" x 2-3/4" and weighing about 15 lbs. Made of Sandstone. Found NC. Depressions are shallow and broad, so they are very hard to see in the photos. All edges are straightened to give a pentagon shape overall and are heavily burnished from use (see photos). There is a crack that is about half way around the piece (see photos). Good patina and mineralization. A Unique addition to your collection.

    Nice Unique Authentic Double Sided Mortar measuring 10" x 8" x 2-3/4" and weighing about 15 lbs. Made of Sandstone. Found NC.  Depressions are shallow and broad, so they are very hard to see in the photos. All edges are straightened to give a pentagon shape overall and are heavily burnished from use (see photos). There is a crack that is about half way around the piece (see photos). Good patina and mineralization.  A Unique addition to your collection.
