    Description

At least pea size magenta mystery snail, I ship the biggest available out first. I currently have several almost dime size.
Beautiful addition to your tank clean up crew.
Grow to about the size of a golf ball.
    Do not eat healthy plants.
    Must have male/female for eggs.
They lay eggs above the waterline so it is easy to remove them if babies aren’t wanted.
Photo is of parent snail under LED lights.
Please note; I only ship out on Mondays, Tuesdays or Saturdays.
Included in your box is a Hikari algae wafer, a small sample of seaweed and a floating plant (usually frog-bit) and if available a small piece of cholla wood. I recommend boiling the wood for 20 minutes prior to tank placement. It may take a day or two before it sinks. Some if the frog-bit plants do come from tanks with ‘pest’ snails, while I do try and clean them and make sure there are no snail ride along‘s it can happen so add it to your aquarium with this knowledge. Pest snails don’t actually damage anything they just aren’t as pretty as the mystery snails and if you overfeed they can reproduce like crazy.
I add the frog-bit floating plant because if your snails are starving they will break down and eat frogbit roots. If something happens and they are delayed in shipment it will hopefully be enough to sustain them until they arrive at your home.
If your tank does not have algae you will need to feed your snails. :) Other than the hikari algae wafers and seaweed you can feed them blanched kale, zucchini, spinach, Romain lettuce and broccoli. They also like Repasky Superfoods community plus and Rapashy Superfoods soilent green.
Snails need calcium for their shells, I recommend reading this: https://aquariumbreeder.com/how-to-supplement-shrimp-and-snails-with-calcium/
While these snails can be sexed I do not sex them, it can be extremely time consuming.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask!
    Thank you!
