    Description

Wandering Snail (radix balthica) and Bladder Snail.
Both are two different species of pond snails, they are suitable for freshwater and tropical aquariums. They are both great for helping you maintain your tank, they will eat waste produced by your fish as well as fish that die, algae and dead plant matter. The bladder snails will not eat live plants. The wandering snails may eat live plants if there are no other sources of food.
The wandering snail is a sub-species of the great pond snail. It has triangular antennae, commonly referred to as the yoda snail. They come in various colors, such as; olive, gold, tan, brown and off white/clear and may have white streaks along their shells. The babies and young juveniles are very light colored, clear and see through but will get color as they grow.
The bladder snail has long, thin, thread-like antennae. Adults and juveniles are brown in color with gold like speckling, as adults, they also will form white streaks on their shells. Bladder snails also appear to have tails coming from under their shells whereas the wandering snails do not.
I will only ship Monday and Tuesday of each week to ensure they don’t sit over the weekend. Purchase includes 10 snails, please notate in comments if you’d like a mix of both snails or one or the other. If no comment is made, you will receive a mix of both.
