    .
    The
    Spanish land snails
    (also known as
    milk snails
) offered here are the young offspring of my own two snails, Ranger and Enzo, whom I have raised and owned for over a year and a half. The scientific name for this species is
    Otala lactea
, dubbed by Otto Müller in 1774. However, archeologists have discovered evidence of typical land snails up to 260-350 million years old,
    twice
    the age of the ever-so-famous
    Tyrannosaurus rex
    .
Milk snails are highly educational and fascinating pets that can live for up to
    7-10 years
in captivity with easily attainable care requirements. The snails offered here currently measure around
    10mm
(0.4 inches) but can grow a shell up to
    35mm
long (1.4 inches) when fed a proper and plentiful diet of veggies, fruit, and calcium.
Please feel free to send us a message with any questions, and we will get back to you within the next 24 hours.
    Live Snail Guarantee:
In the tragic and unfortunate case that your snail does not survive transit to your home, we will replace the lost snail at no charge.
    Please
message us directly or text the phone line printed on your invoice if your snail arrives deceased.
    ATTENTION:
Due to their invasive nature, it is
    HIGHLY DISCOURAGED
    and even
    ILLEGAL
in some areas to release nearly all snail species, including
    O. lactea
, into local ecosystems. In alignment with our efforts to protect the environment, please do not release our snails after purchase. Thank you for helping us heal the planet!
