Exceptionally rare ground and polished slate point from Waterloo, NY, ex-Newton Farwell collection. Purchased by Mr. Farwell at the Harry Schoff auction in 1968. Mr. Farwell’s catalogue number 2147. Purchased from Mr. Farwell’s son via ravensrelics dot com serving as consignor. This point is a large size at 3 1/4”. Dates to the Archaic period. Yes, there is the shoulder damage, but how often do we see NY slate points come up for sale, and how often are they from the Schoff / Farwell collection? Any questions, let me know. Thanks.
