    Description

I really like the Gizmo board that recreates the look of the Sanyo circuit board but now I want something similar for the black version that may never have been made with actual components.
The circuit board shape and size is based on the Sanyo board, but a little shorter:
Excellent Belt Gizmo reference on GBFans' wiki page:
    http://www.gbfans.com/wiki/Belt_Gizmo
I found some vintage black rectangular parts, so that is the new center component on board part.
Here is the first daughter board I built up. Since this time I found some lighter blue wire that is a better match the reference photos of the prop. You could paint the parts for even better matching of the prop, but it looks great with just the actual part colors.  The actual parts that come with the kit may not match these exactly, but should be very similar.
Here is a video of the board in operation: search youtube for "Bi1p22__dA0"
    Some additional comments:
Mounting screws are black oxide (no shiny metal!)
The aluminum display stand with legs is designed to hold 9 tubes and the error box. If you want it Black you will have to paint it!
The electronics on the top of the board will drive 10 LEDs - one for each tube and one for the error box.
A 9V battery holder will be mounted to the board, so no dangling wires.
Real display tubes instead of ribbon cable in plastic tubes - different tubes than the ones used in my other Gizmo kit. Also 9 instead of 8.
The cable between the two is a round cable and is securely attached from behind.
The only part you will need to provide is the leather Gizmo holster - I am not very handy with leather...  The daughterboard does come with a metal belt clip to attach it to your utility belt.
This kit comes with all of the parts you need, but does involve a lot of assembly and soldering is highly recommend for most parts and is essential for the illumination circuitry.  Here is a link to a detailed set of build instructions that will help you evaluate what you are getting into and also help you with the build if you decide to purchase:
