The Freshwater Clam is an amazing creature that can be found all over the world. They are living filters that will remove uneaten foods and detritus from your aquarium, causing nitrate levels to drop and help maintain your aquarium water clean and clear.
This Freshwater Clam has a black and tan shell, and loves to bury itself in finer substrates. They are extremely peaceful and can be housed with inverts and other non-aggressive fish.
Clams will obtain their nutrients by filtering. Additional supplements can be offered in the form of invert pellets or sticks.

RETURN POLICY
If you receive anything but a healthy animal, take 2 or 3 pictures in its unopened sealed bag and get in contact with us within 4 hours of the arrival of the package. We will get back to you after we've successfully examined the pictures. If the clam is indeed dead, we will gladly send you a replacement or we'll refund you if the item is no longer in stock.
After contacting us, and after we give you the green light to return an item, you can do so by shipping the item to the address we will then provide to you.

SHIPPING
Shipped via USPS First Class Package 3-4 days - All our clams are packed in heat sealed durable plastic bags and always double bagged (triple bagged if necessary). They are packed with enough water to be comfortable and plenty of oxygen that lasts up to 2 weeks. They are then wrapped around in bubble wrap or newspaper, and put in durable boxes to prevent them from getting crushed.
Our Shipping days for clams are Monday through Wednesday - orders placed on Wednesday after 7 a.m. (EST) will be shipped next Monday. This is done to avoid your animals getting stuck at a USPS facility over the weekend.
