Description
My husband of 38 years past away a few years ago at the age of 82. He hunted for & collected arrowheads since he was a young man.I am downsizing his collection.
I will try my best to describe any flaws, but I really do not know much about them.
Some of his arrowheads were pictured in Overstreet Identification and Price Guide Book INDIAN ARROWHEADS by Robert M. Overstreet, Eighth Edition
This golden oak colored artifact arrowhead is 1-3/4" long, 3/16 thick and 11/16" across.
Looks to me like tip of point is damaged. May have other damage.
The last picture is the frame where this arrowhead or artifact came from. The frame was marked "Sherman, Gilliam County's Or."
The John Day River, between the 2 counties is a tributary to the Columbia River.
I hope my pictures will help you decide.
