This model ensures that all documents containing sensitive information will be virtually irretrievable once they are fed into the machine. Built for home use, this Aurora paper shredder comes without a basket but can be fitted over regular trash bins for convenience using its extendable arm. The sheets are shredded at a speedy 9.8' per minute. It also has jam remover and a manual reverse feature for cleaning up jammed sheets. In addition this eight-sheet paper shredder is also a credit card and CD destroyer, keeping vital and sensitive information from falling in to the wrong hands. The throat of the shredder is 8.7" wide.

I just got it and only used a few times but I like the option of shredding 8 sheets - and I have - and I also like that when it's done, it 'revs' up a little so that all the paper strings exit and aren't stuck to the bottom of the blades like my old one. Decent price too. Nice product, would recommend.

this item is light weight and functional. However, I was anticipating have a cross shred that came out also in small pieces. The shredded pieces come out in very long strips ( I would think easily reassembled). If this were for just general use, it's fine, However, if security is your goal, I would go with another model.

So far this shredder has worked great and saved so much time from a smaller one that I had. It takes full sheets. So easy to use. I wish I would have bought this sooner to save even more time.

It's great. Works well, quick, fits different size receptacle's. My only suggestion for improvement is to make it a different cut. I would prefer something more than a strip-cut.

Small but tough, This shredder just keeps on destroying cd's, dvd's and credit card's. It will shred 8 to 10 pieces of paper at a time, like the ad says. No problem so far.

I bought this because I got tired of all the mail I get ripping it in half. I got this,it fits over a trash can,a box, or whatever. . . I tried it with mail, Credit Cards, A even a DVD (Had to try that one) Looked as if it wouldnt work on the DVD, but it did.So far I've had it a couple weeks,

Inexpensive...i didn't want to spend a lot for something I use monthly. I don't shred Everything only financial documents. Other mail goes in the recycle and I have a fireplace so primarily need a shredder for the warm months. The price was right for my low-use needs.Inconspicuous...I like that I can keep it under my desk in the box instead of out in the office collecting dust. You can place it over most sturdy wastebaskets and shred into a liner then dispose in your recycle bin.Flexible... I wanted a strip shredder instead of a fine confetti shredder to use alternatively as gift bag filler. I read some people use the strips for crafts and quilling.If space is not an issue and you shred every day it wouldn't be as convenient. But for me it is exactly what I was looking for at a perfect price point.

This is a super great deal for personal use. The adjustment slide is a plus if you want to use a larger trash container (which I did). Just drop in a trash bag in whatever size waste container you decide to use and start shredding documents with personal information that can be used fraudulently. Great little machine.

If you don't cause it to overheat it is a great little machine. Most paper shredders don't live up to how many pages you can put in there but this one does. I love it

I use this to make bedding for worm beds. It easily cuts newspaper and cardboard into strips. It would not be good for sensitive documents because the strips are wide and long.

Perfect! This little machine is just a perfect size to sit on my counter and everyday I get mail, it eats it! I leave it sitting on a small plastic bin and I empty as needed. Its been over a week and still not full, so for me its perfect! When I want to do a larger job it expands to sit on top of my regular trash can. And I can sit there and shred away. I love it!
