    Description

Up for auction is this Native American Pot. This pot is an original Native American Artifact. This pot was found in a bluff shelter in Arkansas about 40 years ago. For many years, when I was younger, I collective Native American artifacts. This is the only piece that I held on to over my lifetime. Getting older and letting a few things go that I'm sure my children will have no need for or want to keep.
This pot was found it many pieces as you can see in the pictures.
Around the middle edge of the pot is something very unique. I've been told by many that it appears to be a fish but I think that it's an Eel. You can see what looks like a fin and then another fin toward the end.
As far as a date I've been told by several different professionals that it was Caddo and also Mississippian. One even said it dated prior to the 1600's. I have no idea but it is very unique.
The size of the pot: 7" across at the widest point. 3" tall. The opening on the mouth is approx. 3-1/4" wide. This artifact will be shipping via Priority Mail. Insurance for the bid value will be included free of charge. We ship within 24 hours of receiving your payment. This item is extremely fragile. We will do everything to try to pack it so you get it in one piece.
Feel free to ask any questions, thanks and good luck bidding!
