Description
8 Freshwater Blue Jelly/Velvet Shrimp - Juveniles & Adults. These shrimp are tank bred in Dallas, Texas. These shrimp are superior to imported shrimp because they are disease free and have a healthy immune system from growing up in an established colony. Due to genetic variation, shrimp may have more or less coloration than the ones pictured. Shrimp may arrive paler than expected due to the stress of transit. Please give them up to 48 hours to reach their full coloration.
I ship Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays only unless I contact you about special circumstances. Therefore, if you order after 8am central on Tuesday your shrimp will ship out Friday or Saturday, and if you order after 8am central Saturday, your shrimp will ship out the following Monday. If weather is extremely cold, I may withhold shipping for a few days until favorable conditions resume.
Live Arrival Guaranteed:
If you order from me and any shrimp are dead, take a photo of the dead shrimp in the unopened bag, as well as the dead shrimp after the bag has been opened all within 1 hour of ebay delivery time. I am able to refund the entire cost of dead shrimp at .50/shrimp minus the shipping and handling charges. I do not refund for any reason at all if any shrimp die after the bag is opened. DOA is very rare and your shrimp will likely be fine.

We take customer satisfaction very seriously. Even if you miss DOA deadlines, we try our best to work with you.
Heat Pack Statement-Read all below before purchasing
A heat pack is required if the low temperatures at your location or in Flower Mound, Texas are below the following temperatures in the 7 days following your purchase:
32°F for plant only purchases
40°F for purchases containing snails
45°F for purchases containing shrimp
Failure to purchase a heat pack when required voids any DOA guarantees. If you have any doubts on whether you need one or not, please message us. To purchase a heat pack, simply add the heat pack to your cart along with the items you’d like to purchase.
If you order less than .00 of products that ship via first class mail (hard goods, plants, and snails), you will still have to pay a shipping fee on the heat pack so that I can upgrade your shipping service to 3 day priority mail, since the heat packs last for 72 hours only.
If you order more than .00 of products that ship via first class (hard goods, plants, and snails), or if any of the products you order ship with priority mail (shrimp, some larger snail packs), you will not be charged an additional shipping fee for a heat pack. When purchasing, add all items to cart and click “request total from seller”. The shipping discount will be applied automatically and click “commit to buy and submit request” to complete the purchase. If there are any technical issues and you aren’t able to get free shipping on the heat pack, message me and I can refund the shipping cost myself.
Heat packs can be purchased optionally for temperatures higher than my requirements if you think it is necessary.
I provide a variety of sexes in each order. Approximate shrimp size is 1/4”-1”. Please be aware when you order and DO NOT float the shrimp bag to acclimate the shrimp. Drip acclimation only as I ship with breather bags. I include a small piece of cloth in each bag for the shrimp to cling to during transit. Please ensure no shrimp are stuck inside of the cloth before throwing it out.
Shipping Options:
If you would like to purchase these with one day shipping, please message me before buying so I can set this up for you. The cost will be higher if you choose to do this. Shrimp seldom have issues being in transit for 3 days, so I recommend this one day shipping option for people living in more extreme climates with extremely high or low temperatures.
Starting a Colony:
Starting a colony of these shrimp is fairly easy. Optimally, you should have a tank of at least 5 gallons, in which the shrimp are the only livestock. To start a colony that will breed to sustain themselves, I recommend purchasing 2 quantity of these shrimp to ensure there is plenty of different males/females for shrimp to choose when breeding. You will find that a planted tank will be most successful in sustaining a colony of shrimp. If you would like to keep these shrimp with fish or other animals. I recommend purchasing at least 2, preferably 3 quantity of these shrimp. By doing this, the shrimp will breed more often, allowing more babies to survive being eaten by your other fish. This gives the breeding colony a much higher chance of survival. It is also vital to ensure that there are plenty of live plants and rocks/driftwood for the babies to hide amongst.
Feel free to message me with questions regarding the keeping of these shrimp, their habitats, and fish compatibility.
