77 New York State Indian Artifacts Arrowheads Cayuga Co. Bifurcate Weedsport, NY

In this collection we have somewhere between 76 and 78 artifacts (I kept losing count) collected by me and our family between the mid 1960s and the mid 1980s at the Whitford Airport Site on Ditmar Road north of Weedsport, New York along the artifact rich Seneca River. Oh my, what fun our family used to have tramping these fields...great memories. My Mom is 90 and still gets out in the field with us once in a while. This is a very diverse collection of field grade points and tools from this multi cultural site. There are some "killer" Normanskill points, a couple of bifurcates, a nice selection of Lamoka's, Brewerton's, Levanna's, etc. The blue stone celt is a honey with a wonderful blade. It measures 4" x 1 3/4". As you probably know by know Dad & I would give our points a light coating of Aerowax after washing. It was the "thing to do" back then. Feel free to wash it off.  Also, Dad would try his hand at repairing points on cold CNY winter nights. This assemblage includes 2 of Dad's attempted repairs. Please see the last slide...both points sporting Dad's new tips. If you like stemmed points this is a great collection for you...all from 1 very long, narrow field with airtight provenance. You don't see that often. Our kids have no real interest in our "treasures" so we will pass them along to good new homes after 50+ years of curation. Lucky buyer please add .75 shipping.
