    Description

In this auction we offer 54 artifacts from 2 Central New York Sites. There are 33 artifacts from the Bunn Farm on Route 90 in Cayuga County (just north of Route 20), and 21 pieces from the Schuster Farm on the northwest end of Cayuga Lake in Seneca County on Route 89. All of these artifacts were found by me or my family in the 1960s and 1970s. They are all field grade. Please look carefully at the photos. Our kids are not interested in many of our artifacts so I'm going to find them a new home after 50 years of curating them. The Bunn Farm frame contain 3 points that my Dad tried to "repair" (see photo 5). Dad loved to fiddle around with these on cold winter nights...the ground slate, long drill, and 1 corner notch point have "dad tips" made of resin which can easily be removed. Also, some of the points may look a bit shiny. That's because we used to coat them in Aerowax (naturally) when we'd get back from the site. Likewise, this can be soaked off if you prefer a more "natural" look. Both frames have a nice variety of points from Susquehanna, Madison, Brewerton, Meadowood, Lamoka, and BF540 is a nice Brewerton Eared Triangle. The Bunn Farm also has a nice uniface scraper. I will pack these in their Riker Mounts. I put layers of heavy foam between the points and the lid locks them in place. Lucky buyer please add .75 shipping.
