Description
Up for sale is a nice 5 5/8" Pontchartrain Archaic Blade. It is made from a a very nice flint.At the thickest point it measures approximately 1/2" thick and is 5 5/8" long.
It is from the NW Louisiana collection of Charles Chester Clark from Shreveport, Louisiana. The provenance of this point has been lost. It has good patination and heavy mineralization.
Pontchartrain I artifacts are from the Late Archaic-Woodland archaeological period, 4000 - 2000 B.P.
This nice blade displays well and will make an excellent addition to anyone’s collection.
