    Description

You are receiving 5+1 (One extra for possible DOA)
Beautiful Pink and Red Ramshorn Snails. All of our sold aquatic life is family raised with love and care.
    Ramshorn snails are considered a
    pest snail
. These snails reproduce based on extra food left in the tank. Each egg cluster can have as many as ten to twelve baby snails. Do not purchase without research.
Please do your research before purchasing! Water perimeters should be researched as well, just like any live fish!!
Some information to get you started:
Ramshorn snails can be escape artists and should be housed in an aquarium with a sealed lid.
For strong, healthy snails, they should have calcium in their diet and water. I use crushed coral, and I feed Hikari Crab Cuisine, algae wafers, and blanched vegetables like zucchini or cucumber on occasion. There are many options available. If snails don't receive needed calcium, their shells will be weak and prone to injury!
Ramshorn Snails are great at eating algae, biofilm, and dead fish. Feed them sinking pellets, algae wafers, and blanched vegetables such as zucchini, kale, spinach, cucumber, or unsalted green beans. They eat more than expected, monitor the amount you feed them and increase as needed.
Snails don't like salt, aquarium salt, or copper, please check all foods and chemicals you use in your aquariums before purchasing these beautiful creatures.
    Shipping Details:
We carefully wrap our  snails in wet paper towels and we place them in an air filled bag. The bag is then placed into the Styrofoam lined box with packing peanuts with a label stating the inside contents are live fish.
Shell damage is possible due to the nature of shipment. Research can be done to repair a chipped or cracked shell. We package very carefully to help reduce any chance of chipping.
New shell at the front of the shell will chip easier, this will grow back out over time.
I will only ship on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays to avoid weekend delays or over night stays, therefore increasing the chance of your snails arriving healthy. Any orders placed after Tuesday are shipped out the following week.
    Live-Arrival Guarantee:
Live arrival is overwhelmingly successful as long as the snails aren't exposed to extreme temperatures long enough to cause injury. Snails can take up to a few days to start moving after shipment. DOA is only accepted if snails are dead upon delivery, I am not responsible for failed acclimation processes.
If mystery snails are dead, they will be freely dangling from outside their shells, they also sometimes have a foul odor.
Please follow all recommended acclimation procedures to ensure they stay alive after you receive them.
They are not guaranteed after they arrive alive if there is a mistake during the acclimation process.
In the event of a snail arriving dead:
Take close-up photos of the dead snail(s) and send them to me. Pictures of snails at the bottom of your tank shut are not proof of dead snails. Pictures must show dead snails falling out of their shells.
Shipping fees not refundable. Seller and Buyer to split shipping expense in case of Dead-on-Arrival (DOA) snails.
I will guarantee live arrival via partial refund for DOA snails, with the following restrictions:
    In the summer:
Live arrival is guaranteed for up to 30 minutes after delivery.
If you can't get your snails out of the mailbox within 30 minutes of delivery, please arrange to have your package held at the post office or have a neighbor get it out of the mailbox. Mailboxes in the sun can easily reach 150°F / 65°C or more inside, so I can only guarantee 30 minutes of exposure to temperatures in that range.
    In the winter:
Live arrival is guaranteed unless you let your snails freeze.
If you can't get your snails out of the mailbox before it gets below 40°F or 4.5°C, please arrange to have your package held at the post office or have a neighbor get it out of the mailbox.
