    Description

You are bidding on 30+ juvenile and young adult Red Cherry Shrimp.  A few additional shrimp will be added to account for the rare instance of DOAs.  Java moss will be included to provide a comfortable journey.
This is a US only auction and I will ONLY ship within the United States.
    Frequently asked questions:
How do I acclimate the shrimp?
These shrimp are shipped in breather bags that allow oxygen to diffuse into the bag during transit.  Due to the nature of the bag,
please DO NOT submerge the breather bag into the tank to acclimate the shrimp - this will kill them!
.  Instead, take the shrimp out of the bag and place it in another container.  You can then slowly drip acclimate the shrimp by adding a few drops of your tank water every few seconds.
Once the water has doubled in volume, the shrimp are ready for their new home.
Why are the shrimp not bright red out of the package?
This is completely normal after delivery.  The shrimps colors are attributed to their environment, lighting, sex and stress.  Since they were in a box without light during the delivery, they may appear colorless upon arrival.  They will color up over time given proper conditions.  Provide ample lighting and foliage to hide from predators will help accelerate this "color-up" process.  The sex is also very important.  Males generally have less red pigmentation compared to females and it is not uncommon for male shrimp to appear colorless throughout their life cycle. For more aggressive coloration, I would suggest Sakura or fire red shrimp.
When will the shrimp start breeding?
While some shrimp will arrive matured, most female shrimp will start carrying eggs within a month or two.
Can I keep the shrimp with my aquarium fish?
The shrimp are very small and can fit in the mouths of most aquarium fish.  If possible, keep the shrimp in its own tank.  If you have enough foliage for the shrimp to hide (planted tank), keeping them with aquarium fish is possible.  Please be careful when dropping them into the tank as curious fish might mistake them for a treat.  In addition, schools if fish might eat the shrimp fry thus making it impossible to obtain a large shrimp colony.  Of course all of this depends on the size and conditions within your aquarium.
Do you offer other types of shrimp?
Sorry, I do not keep other shrimp breeds.  RCS are the only shrimp I offer.
