Description
3335-2021)3 3/16" x 1 3/16” x 5/16” Clovis Paleo Dart Point that has been Double Fluted. Made of extremely patinated and heavily patinated mottled Hornstone or Ft Payne Flint with abundant iron manganese mineral deposits and moderate river polish. This relic has excellent bifacial primary outré’ passe percussion followed by multiple stages of direct pressure flaking resulting in a sturdy, but thin artifact. It is no brainer ancient authentic with multiple fluting strikes on one face and excellent fluting on the other face resulting in strong terminal hinge fractures at the flute terminus, G8 Quality. Was found near Cadiz while kayaking the Little River in Trigg County, KY - was sticking out of an embankment next to a field run off ditch, circa 2016 by Kevin Chapman.
