Olive Nerite snails make an ideal addition for ALL freshwater community aquariums, planted aquariums, betta set-ups, or shrimp tanks. They have an attractive shell of olive to brownish-green & sometimes even almost black in coloration, which is often colonized by tiny barnacles, adding to its interesting appearance. This may cause some minor shell erosion but this is no way affects the health or longevity of the snails! I like to think of these snails as "Snowflakes" in the fact that no 2 are the same and that adds to the excitement and enjoyment of the aquarium. Some customers even find it fun to come up with pet names for the different nerite snails in there tank. They range in size from pea to penny sized and size comparison photos are included. We make every effort to insure you get a variety of snail sizes with each order.
Perfect for DWARF Shrimp tanks and Planted tanks especially as they will not interrupt breeding Shrimp populations or eat aquatic plants or desirable mosses. Another great aspect of these obligatory algae eaters is they cannot colonize or reproduce in a freshwater aquarium, no with these guys you are NOT at risk of becoming snail infested. These snails are very hardy and tolerant of a wide variety of water conditions and parameters, do well in shipping, and typically live for 2-5 years!
This auction is for 25 HEALTHY Live Olive Nerite Snails; I ONLY ship Healthy animals!!
I will include around 5 additional snails at no cost to cover the rare but inevitable doa situation. I provide the extra snails at no charge just to ensure you receive AT LEAST the amount of snails you ordered.
I ONLY ship on Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday when temps at both shipments points are between 45-95 degrees F. If shipments are placed when temps are outside of these ranges we will either hold the order, request additional shipping charges to do overnight shipping with delivery by noon, or still ship at the sole risk of the buyer.
This Auction like all of my auctions will some with a FREE Sample portion of some of the High-Calcium Herbiviore Pellet Diet I use for these snails when they have done their job and the aquarium no longer has enough algae for them as a food source!
