Description

Malaysian trumpet snails are a favorite in this hobby because they are great little cleaner critters for the aquarium! They are most active at night after you turn your aquarium light off, it's really cool because about an hour after you shut the light off they ALL come out and make their way up the glass of your aquarium, then the next morning almost all of them are gone! Where to, you may ask? They burrow into your substrate during the day, and because of that they have the added benefit of aerating your substrate which is GREAT for live plants that root!
ACLIMATION: once you receive your new friends, float them in your aquarium for about 30 minutes, afterwards remove 25% of the water they came in and replace with your tanks water. Wait an additional 30 minutes, then repeat the above process until all of the water they came in is replaced with your aquariums water. You may then add them to your aquarium. Required time: 2.5 hours

HOW SNAILS ARE PACKED: Contrary to popular belief, it isnt the best for snails to simply be wrapped in a wet paper towel and shipped to you, ive lost snails shipped to me this way because it makes it difficult to acclimate them to your aquarium water, this is why I ALWAYS ship my snails in their original tank water! I package according to the weather at the time of shipment. If the weather is cold, say below around 55°f I'll include a heat pack, whether its hot or cold I use ample insulation when packing. If temperatures are below 50°F I don't ship
