Description

Here's my Beetle, located right in the middle of the country, easy to get to at the crossroads of 1-80 and I-29.
This is an unrestored car.  Has not been chopped up or modernized.
Car starts, runs and stops good.  Almost a daily driver in summer.
For some folks who go through lots of cars, the price on this little guy may seem thousands too high.  But as with any owner of an old car, I have way more dollars in the car than I will ever get out of it.  There may be one or two Beetle fans who don't want to go through a chassis-up restoration.
I do not watch car auction shows.  I am not expecting to hit the jackpot.
This car has not been cut apart or cobbled together.  The color is not bright blue, it has some white and some black in it.  I'd call it gray-blue, a great German color on a Beetle.
Here's the thing:  the floor pans have never rotted out.  The battery-pan has never been patched.  Read that line again.
Heater works (what?!)  Cables and J-boxes are free.
Engine compartment a little dusty but not oily.  Trunk is pretty clean.  Spent much of its life in Arizona and Colorado - - no salt.  In Nebraska it has not been driven in winter (sat in the garage).  As you can see, has pop-out windows.
Carpet might be the original - - it could use replacing. A brand-new set of carpet front to back including the trunk and you'd be close to ready for Labor Day car show.
Running boards are not stock - - they are rock-solid aluminum.  Somewhere along the way the bumpers were replaced.  The speedo head has been replaced.  Turn-signal apparatus replaced.  Steering wheel has a couple hairline cracks, but pretty good.  Spare tire is good.
The motor has been out and re-sealed.  Oil cooler was replaced.  Steering gear has been replaced.  Tires are good.  Check out the plastic lenses on the turn signals, never replaced.  The Allman Brothers CD in the player is outstanding.  I did put some speakers in the kick-panels up front.
Pretty much what you see here is what you get.  I've liked Bugs since I had my first one in the 70's.  Let's face it, when a car is 50+ years old, there are going to be things that could made better, fixed up, replaced.  So I'm not a super-motivated seller.  Hope you can understand.

Closing thoughts:
At some point the transmission will just need to be subbed out for a fresher one.  But if you need to drive to Miami tomorrow, this little trooper will get you there.
(That last photo is just for a laugh!)
