    Description

I purchased this wagon one year ago from the Virginia family that purchased it in 1968 from a local Blacksburg GM dealer. The car had been sitting awhile so I did what was necessary to get it back on the road.
Recent repairs/ upgrades include the following:
Complete tuneup including plugs, wires, points and condenser
New alternator, starter, voltage regulator, fuel filter and battery.
New water pump, belts and hoses.
Four new whitewall tires with the correct 1966 hubcaps
New interior carpet with new door sill plates. (Seat extenders added for extra legroom)
Seats recovered. (Not original vinyl material)
    New rear view mirror.
Power rear window repaired (works from dash switch, not tailgate)
Headliner is original and in good shape for its age.
The wagon runs well and shifts well and the power brakes work well.   Does not smoke but does have some oil leaks.  However, I have not needed to add oil.    It rides great and tracks straight down the highway.
It gets comments and thumbs up whenever I drive it.
The records included show the engine was rebuilt in the past.  (389 4 barrel)
    All lights and turn signals.
I have a large folder of maintenance records dating back to the 70’s.
    The bad:
The car has had rust repairs to the body, floors and and frame and will need additional repairs.  (See pics)
The fuel tank has rust on the outer surface .  Does not leak but will need repair or replacement in the future and I’m not sure if a new one is available.   The coupe and sedan tanks are different than the wagon.
The driveshaft was replaced in the past and occasionally makes noise.  My mechanic said it may need to be removed and shortened.
Heater temperature control works but the fan only works on low. It’s enough to keep the interior warm in cold weather.
All of the ac components are there and the compressor turns freely.  I have not added r-12 or tried to fix it.
The car is cold natured but runs well once it warms up.
The car is 56 years old and is showing its age.   However, wagons are hard to find nowadays and this is not something you see everyday.    The opening bid is less than I have invested in this car.   This is a no reserve auction so serious bidders only.
The car is located in my garage in the Richmond area and available for inspection prior to bidding.   I have more pictures but eBay max is 24.
    Thanks for looking good luck.
