I’m selling my 1964 VW Bug. I picked it up last year and I like it a lot but I’ve only driven it a handful of times so it’s time to let someone else enjoy it. The car is very straight, solid and has absolutely no rust anywhere in the body or pan. It looks like it has been repainted once in the original L469 Anthracite grey and had some spots touched since then as well. It has some dings and scratches here and there are holes drilled in the doors for aftermarket mirrors but overall it’s a very nice little car. As near as I can tell it has all of the original body panel and has never been hit. It’s been lowered in front with a 2” narrowed adjustable beam and 2.5” lowered spindles. The rear has been lowered one spline. It has KYB shocks all around and Nankang tires (145r15 front and 165/80r15 rear).
The engine is a 1200cc 40 horsepower unit. It’s not the fastest thing on wheels but it will keep up with traffic. I think it could use a little tuning but it runs well. It doesn’t have any major fluid leaks but will leave some spots here and there from the engine and transmission like most old VW’s.
The electrical system has been converted to 12 volts. The lights, wipers, etc all work well.
I had a new headliner, door panels, carpet, steering wheel and front seat belts installed. The seats aren’t perfect but they’re pretty nice so I just left them alone.
The car is far from perfect but it’s a fun little driver and turns heads everywhere. The roof rack, cooler and suitcases are included with the car. Please feel free to ask any questions. The car is in Arvada, CO. I have a clear title in my name. I will be happy to coordinate pick up with your shipping company. Thanks!
