Description
Beautiful 1939 Chrysler Royal Coupe in excellent condition inside and out. Extremely rare and hard to fine. Initially Chrysler manufactured less than 400 Royal Coupes in 1939 and less than 50 remain today. Jay Leno has a '39 that was featured on his show "Jay Leno's Garage".This beauty is equipped with a 214.5 Cu inch 6 cylinder original engine with an updated 12 volt electrical system and 3 speed manual transmission. Has " 3 on the tree" shifting. The exterior is very solid and straight with beautiful silver ice metallic paint. The chrome is in great condition. The interior has been tastefully updated by a previous owner, who also added power windows and air conditioning.
Although a/c has been added to the Royal, the unit would have to be evaluated. I received the car with non- working a/c and have not had the system evaluated. The Royal has rub and scratch marks along the rear quarter panels but the areas have been painted with matching paint( not the pictures showing such). The transmission has been TOTALLY overhaul within the last 3 months and shifts effortlessly. The issues with the Royal: The horn has not worked since I purchased the car and the gauges( fuel and odometer{reads 62,884} ) are non-functional. However, the temperature gauge does function( recently had recalibrated). Speedometer works fine. The Royal comes with an owners manual and shop manual as well. This is one of 2 vehicles( the other being a 1939 Packard that is showroom condition!!!) I hate selling but I have a 1957 Cadillac Sedan DeVille that has taken more resources than I anticipated and I truly do not have the storage space. The Royal has been meticulously cared for and stored since purchase. Any further questions can be addressed to David at (325)340-7916. Vintage WA plates come with car.
