These look great in white sand bottom tanks.
MTS burrow under sand and gravel to eat left over fish food.
By burrowing, the MTS is also aerating the bottom of the tank which is great for plants health as it helps root growth.
MTS are not big enough to disturb your plants with their burrowing and they do not eat plants.
They are great at coasting along and removing algae and food left over from feeding your fish.
Malaysian Trumpets Snails will not harm other snails and are great for shrimp tanks too!
MTS can be added to brackish water tanks as well but be sure to use the drip method to acclimate them properly.
They will reproduce in aquariums. The rate of reproduction will depend on the environment.
Reduce amount of fish food given to keep your MTS numbers down.
These snails are 1/8" to 1" long with variations in coloring.
