I can't ship to Hawaii or Puerto Rico. State customs WILL Reject them every time. I am sorry but I label them as live snails and they are not allowed in Hawaii or Puerto Rico.

You are purchasing Malaysian Trumpet Snails that have healthy looking shells. When I pick them out of my tanks they will sometimes have minor cracks, gashes, and or nicks as you can see in the pictures provided. This is totally normal and is in no way detrimental to their health.
I will also supply a few extra snails with your order just in case one or two parish in shipping. The typical amount supplied as an AVERAGE is ABOUT 20% extra so if you order 10, I send about 12. With the orders of 25, I will be sending to you ABOUT 30 snails and so on. I do not expect any to perish in shipping so if none perish then you received some extra snails. If some do then the 20% should outweigh any loss you may have. You are buying the amount listed in the header and any extras are to insure you get all you have purchased.
Benefits of The Malaysian Trumpet Snail.
The Malaysian Trumpet Snail feeds on detritus and leftover food waste that is on and in the substrate.
When they are foraging for food they move through the substrate and aerate the bottom of the tank. Substrate aeration is a great benefit to planted aquariums and fish only tanks as it promotes air exchange and root growth. This also helps to deter toxic gas build up under the gravel.
Malaysian Trumpet Snail do not lay eggs but rather have live birth.
They go with most fish (Except Puffers who will eat them).
They are compatible with all other snails except Assassin Snails that eat them.
They are hard little workers and are primarily nocturnal.

They can also go with most fish (except Puffers) as they have a very hard shell and most fish cannot eat them.
    Are trumpet snails algae eaters?
Answer: There are better snails for eating algae like Olive Green Nerites. MTS are better at eating left over food and cleaning out the substrate and bottom of the aquarium.
    Question:
    Are these saltwater snails?
    Answer: No freshwater only.
    Question:
    Do they kill dwarf shrimp?
Answer: No they live well and in Harmony in all my cherries and crystal shrimp Tanks. They help maintain a consistent balance by cleaning and aerating the substrate to prevent gas bubbles from forming. Also the poop from the snails has beneficial bacteria in it that is good for the shrimp digestion.
    Question:
Are these snails safe in an African cichlid tank?
    Answer:
Yes they are mainly nocturnal and have very hard shells.
    Question:
How should I introduce them into the tank?  Should I place them onto structure? How long should I acclimate them?
    Answer:
These guys are very hardy. You should slowly add your own tank water to the container they came in over the course of an hour or so. Then place them at the bottom of the tank. If you just drop them straight in your tank the fish may think that you are feeding them. Normally no harm will come to the snails or the fish if you just drop them in but it?s safer if you just place them at the bottom.
