100 Live Large Trapdoor Snails Freshwater Aquarium Pond Algae Eater Clean Up Crew. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. We have been breeding Japanese trapdoor snails for 16 years for local aquariums and hobby shops. Due to the US slow down we are in possession of an excess amount of inventory and are now selling them direct to the public on eBay as well as other outlets. Our snails are all hand washed to remove all Parasites and potential contaminants, do not by "green" (algae covered) snails on eBay. They were plucked out of someone's pond and are teaming with potential parasites and bacteria which can contaminate your aquarium or pond.
It is important to remember that during transit snails are slowly depleting oxygen in their shipping bag as they breathe.
Trapdoor snails do not breathe the air, they require oxygenated water. You must immediately put the snails in your pond or aquarium as indicated in the instruction sheet included with shipping.
SIZE
: Medium/large/jumbo/big are relative terms, to one buyer a large snail may be a medium snail in someone else's opinion. We are selling these 100 at a time and do not have the manpower to physically measure each snail. We do our best to make sure that they are all healthy sized and most importantly ready for your pond.
We do not accept return requests, the snails we sell will sometimes be much bigger than you expected and sometimes will be a combination between jumbo and medium

( me), Nobody with the pond wants very large sales. These are exactly like grass carp in the sense that when they're growing they are ravenous which is what you're buying them for. Snails clean not only the algae in your pond but they filter the water. As they get larger they eat less, much like a grass carp. The sweet spot for these guys is when there just between medium and large when the reproducing like crazy and eating just as much. At times we do offer jumbo snails but most people buy them for aquariums.
