    Description

Ten+ Juvenile Pink Ramshorn Snails. Easy Fun Color & Algae Cleaners For Your Nano Tank
    Shipped with USPS First Class.
    Hello Everyone!
I am listing a group of ten mostly JUVENILE PINK ramshorn snails.
These can get as large as a quarter, but those I'll send will be a dime sized, or smaller.
Plenty of time to grow and acclimate.
I want to add this again: This listing is for the JUVENILE OFFSPRING, from the adults pictured. The ones you receive will be small, and not fully grown.
I have bred these for years in my own tanks and have seen them pretty much breed true to color, with a very occasional off throw here and there.
You can see the variation in red shades in the adults in the photos above.
I've tried to include different lighting to show off the range.
I love these for their peaceful algae and detritus cleaning abilities, and love that they add so much color to my tank!
These do not eat live plants.
They will munch on dead or dying parts, and scrub away algae on leaves. That's about it.
Ramshorn snails will breed in freshwater
, so if you are overfeeding, expect that you'll have quite a few generations soon!
I actually like to use my snail populations as bellwethers in my various community tanks.
If I see a sudden jump in egg clutches or babies, I know I need to back off feeding for a bit.
This isn't to say snails need to be fed at all anyway. They'll eat mulm and whatever scraps your fish leave around. Keep no scraps around.
Snails love heavily planted tanks, and will not bother other community members such as shrimp etc...
However, Loaches, puffers and Cichlids will eat these snails.
These are kept in tap water; any old tap water will do.
Mine are about 70f in the winter (76f in the summer), 7.4 pH, and ~200ppm gh.
I have also tested these in some of my unheated, unfiltered Walstad tanks, and they do beautifully.
I have not had success keeping these in Reverse- Osmosis water (even remineralized), so I wouldn't recommend it.
Waters too soft? I throw in a chunk of cuttlebone (the kind for parakeets), and that keeps their shells strong.
I ship out Monday through Wednesdays USPS First Class Tracked.
I take PayPal only. Thank you for looking🙏!
