ℹ️  Bladder Snails are a tropical freshwater pond snail common in North America and Europe. In the aquarium community, they are often seen as pests or invasive. However, these beautiful tiny scavengers are helpful for keeping your ecosystem thriving, offering insight into safe water conditions, having minimal to no harm to other aquatic life, and often serving as food for some specific fish and aquatic life. They often stay less than half an inch at full growth, making them perfect for small tanks and beginner aquarium owners.
The main package of 7 snails + contents will work well in aquariums that are small (sized between 3 to 8gal.). For bigger aquariums, you can purchase multiple packs that will include all contents listed, or you can slightly overfeed your cleaners and their population will soar.
Physella acuta prefer:
Temperature: 64° - 84° F (17° - 29° C);
pH: 7.0 - 8.0;
Water hardness: 12 to 18 dGH
IMPORTANT:
If you are over feeding, the population will flourish. These snails proliferate easily with an abundance of food. If your water parameters are dangerous, they can be seen grouping outside of the water near the top of your tank.
After Transit:
Snails may not move or may be lethargic up to a day after transit. Allow your snails to acclimate in an area of your tank with some food pellets and check back to see if they've moved over the next 12 hours.
Snails may float when they first enter your tank, don't panic! They will find their bearings in a few minutes and start moving around.
Snails are DOA when their bodies are out of their shells or shrunk inside their shell, and smell rotten.
If you are concerned about a DOA we are always willing to help you via messages!
Contacting Us for DOA:
If your snails are DOA: please message us within 36 hours of the delivery arrival with a 1 minute video of the DOA snails in their packaging. If you've followed the steps and already placed them in an aquarium, please remove them and replace them back in their shipping container for easy viewing.
We will not accept refunds for DOA if the 1st delivery attempt is unsuccessful.
DOA refund covers the cost of the snails only, shipping costs are non-refundable. Orders with free shipping will be deducted for cost of postage.
You must contact us in order to receive a refund for D.O.A. Negative or Neutral Feedbacks mentioning D.O.A without contact to us directly, are not automatically refunded.
We cannot accept returns for dead plants and animals, it is illegal in our state.
Shipping Materials:
Insulating paper and recyclable materials that follow Maryland packaging guidelines for live animal transportation.
We never ship our snails with styrofoam or non-recyclable plastic materials.
Ground Shipping does not include heat or ice packs for extreme weather. Please plan accordingly.
