These homebred dark orange freshwater shrimp are a stunning addition to your aquarium.  Unlike their red family members, these keep their orange color on any substrate.  This line of orange shrimp hold their color remarkably well compare
d to other colors.
All the color variants of the Neocaridina shrimp are very hardy.  They will live in a broad range of water parameters.  They do require a moderate amount of hardness in their water, though.  Their hobbies include munching on algae, hanging upside on plants, and racing around the tank when a female is ready to breed.
The different color variants of orange shrimp (all of the Neocaridina genus) can and will interbreed with each other giving unpredictable results.  I've found it best to keep them in their own tanks.  They will live very peaceably with other fish, so long as they cannot fit them in their mouth (like fry) and vice-versa.
